At Cherry Grove Baptist Church we strive to minister to the family as a unit.  The home is God’s original foundation of society and hence the most vital element in the church family.  It is to be ministered to and encouraged.  It must be strengthened and sustained through the preaching, teaching and fellowship that we provide.

This is important in accomplishing our purpose:  the salvation of men, women, boys and girls and the discipling of these to grow in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

The following areas are tools that we use to accomplish our mission:

• Adult Choir – Our adult choir consists of approximately 40-50 members and is a tremendous blessing in all of our services.
• Bible College – Cherry Grove Baptist Bible College is a satellite of Carolina Bible College, near Concord, NC.  A bachelor’s, master’s and doctor of Theology degree are offered.  There is also a bachelor’s of Christian Education degree. 
• Bus Ministry – God is truly opening doors and providing for this ministry.  We have a number of vehicles (vans, shuttle buses, full size buses) that run routes covering Wilkesboro, North Wilkesboro, Mulberry, Fairplains, Millers Creek, Moravian Falls, Union Grove, Roaring River, Ronda, Hayes, Mountain View.
• Children’s Ministry – We are beginning a children’s church to run concurrent with our morning worship service that will incorporate music and message for our children.
• Faith Promise Missions – Our mission’s family has grown dramatically over the past two years from one missionary in 2001 to a present number (3/2004) of 35 missionary families and growing.
• Prison Ministry – We have the privilege of working with the Wilkes Correctional Facility on a monthly basis through preaching in the chapel services as well as offering Bible courses through correspondence to interested inmates.
• Spanish Ministry – In the Fall of 2005, we began Iglesia Bautista Cherry Grove, under the leadership of Pastor Chino Rendon.  The work has been established and now has its own pastor, with Sunday school, worship and a Tuesday night mid-week service.
• Sunday School – Our classes at present are: nursery (infant – two), 3-4, 5-6, 7-9, 10-12, teen girls, teen guys, college and career, couples one (newlywed – 34), couples two (35-49), couples three (50-up), ladies class, men’s class
• Our Sunday School consists of the Sunday teaching ministry as well as class outings, visitation and missions (adopt-a-missionary).
• Tape Ministry – Our services are presently recorded on cassette tapes and CD.  These are available upon request.
• Visitation – We have weekly outreach opportunities for all church members. 
• Youth Ministry – Our youth consists of about 20 young people ages thirteen to college and career age.
